Nathan De Asha is a British IFBB professional bodybuilder and sponsored champion. He made his pro debut in 2016 and has since competed at Mr. Olympia and won two professional contests. Nathan already qualified for Mr. Olympia 2021
Nathan decided to become a rich and famous model in fitness and support his family. And Nathan is proving to be one of the best bodybuilders of the new generation.
Early Life of Nathan De Asha

Nathan De Asha was born in 1888 and raised in a poor family in Liverpool, England. He was brought up by his single mother who was on government welfare and fought to make ends meet. At that time, Nathan was forced to live on welfare and was left with insufficient options for his future.
Nathan was an outstanding soccer player, and he spent his much time playing semi-pro for a regional team. He would then venture into the world of rowing for a couple of years. There, he was on the same team as Sir Steven Redgrave, Olympic gold medalist.
Nathan first turned to weight training to gain muscle for soccer when he was 18 years old. When he first attended a gym, he says that the massive guys in the gym “intimidated” him.
Early Bodybuilding Career of Nathan De Asha

Initially, Nathan did not have an interest in pursuing a career as a bodybuilder when he was enjoying working out and changing his physique. Nevertheless, he was convinced by his friend Darren Smith, who was a well-known competitor in Liverpool.
Nathan would find himself competing in his first event at the age of 21. He took the stage at a local NABBA show, and as he stepped onto the stage he was nervous. Even so, he managed to come out on top to win the competition, “surprising himself” greatly.
Nathan ended up winning the NABBA Mr. Universe and Mr. Europe titles and also won the British Championships junior title.
Nathan’s Jail Experience
Nathan was working very hard and was on the brink of chasing his pro card. He was finally starting to have confidence in his physique and the capacity to compete.
Nathan’s life took a turn for the more serious. He objected to the police and media labeling the rioters as the ‘black kids of single mothers’ in 2011 in Liverpool. Nathan could have chosen to accept the charge and walk free after spending 20 months in prison.
Professional Bodybuilding Career of Nathan De Asha

After serving out his jail, Nathan was forced into a difficult situation. Due to his criminal record, it would be hard for him to get a career with the degree he was working on. So instead, he determined to fully pursue bodybuilding by competing in the British Championships 2013 to earn his ifbb pro card.
Unfortunately, before the contest, he suffered from 3 blood clots while training that nearly killed him. He set his mind on the 2014 championship. Despite suffering from pneumonia, and the loss of his niece, Nathan was able to earn the goal and his pro card.
The next championship of Nathan as a pro bodybuilder was the professional level UK Body power. Here, he would take second place against Roelly Winklaar, but he had his mind set on the Mr. Olympia competition.
In his first competition at Mr. Olympia, Nathan got 12th place, respectable considering he was going up against the likes of Phil Heath. Nathan would go on to have victory in several other competitions. He also got 7th place at the 2017 Olympia and 8th position in 2018.
