Levrone’s professional bodybuilding career began when he won his first NPC finals at 27 in 1991. He continued to win several prestigious shows such as Grand Prix Germany, Night of Champions, and Arnold Classic. 

He also became the bodybuilder with the most Pro Show medals by winning many competitions and finishing as a runner-up in others.

In 1992, Levrone suffered a severe injury during a bench press workout, tearing his minor and major pectoralis muscles. The injury required two surgeries, one of which lasted over 8 hours. 

During his recovery, he faced intricacies due to an infection, but he still placed 2nd in Grand Prix Finland and won the 1993 Grand Prix in Germany.
