In 2015, Rickey was getting into the World of bodybuilding. He joined different contests. He decided to compete as a Men’s Physique competitor during that time. Rickey won his first show at the USA Nationals in 2016 in Men’s Physique class.

In 2017, Rickey thought to switch to the Classic Physique class, where he’s been creating waves ever since. When Rickey changed to the Classic Physique division, he had to up the power of his exercises.

It meant heavier weights, more volume, and less rest between sets. According to Rickey, it was hard but not unattainable. In 2018, Rickey competed at IFBB New York Pro Show in Men’s Classic Physique and got 4th place there.  Rickey Moten is a big fan of Flex Wheeler and follows him in his training.

In 2019, Rickey was the runner-up at IFBB Tampa pro in the Men’s Classic Physique class, and in the same year, he was the winner at IFBB San Antonio Pro in the same division. In 2020, Rickey got 5th place against Terrence Ruffin and Steve Laureus at Arnold Classic Pro USA and 7th place against Chris Bumstead at the Olympia 2020 in Men’s Physique category.
