Alexei Lesukov was born in 1988 in Apatity, a city located in the Murmansk region of Russia. Alexei’s genetics gave him a muscular and robust physique at a very young age, making him look more developed than his peers at 13. 

Motivated by his impressive physical abilities, he decided to take up bodybuilding and joined a gym at 14. However, his mother was very conscious about his health and strongly opposed his involvement in bodybuilding, forcing Alexei to train secretly. 

He used the money his parents gave him for the school dining room to pay for his training. Despite these challenges, Alexei remained focused on his goals and continued to work hard in the gym.

Alexei Lesukov Bodybuilding Career

Alexei Lesukov’s bodybuilding career began when he enrolled in a gym at 14, despite his mother’s complaints. His genetic advantage made him look muscular and massive compared to his peers. He continued to train in secret using money meant for the dining room.

After graduating, Alexei and his family moved to St. Petersburg, where he registered at the Academy of Physical Culture Lesgaft in 2005. 

He also found a good gym where he continued to train with weights. There, he met Andrei Prokofiev, who became his professional mentor and personal trainer. Together, they achieved an amazing result as Alexei won his first junior competition just a year later.

From there, Alexei continued to make a name for himself in bodybuilding. He won the championship of Russia in the junior category twice and quickly gained a reputation as one of the most genetically gifted bodybuilders in the country. 

Despite his young age, he managed to achieve significant results in bodybuilding, thanks in part to the guidance of his mentor, Andrei Prokofiev.

In 2007, Alexei won 1st place in the European Junior Championship, followed by a 4th place finish in the World Amateur Championship in 2008. However, he had to reduce tournament participation the following year due to injuries sustained during heavy training.
