Early Life of Flex Wheeler
Flex Wheeler was born on August 13, 1965, and raised in California, USA. He grew up in poverty and difficult circumstances. As a child, Flex Wheeler faced child abuse and suicidal bents. He tried in school due to dyslexia but outshined in sports.
Flex began practicing martial arts and started bodybuilding as a youngster after discovering weight training. He is in the background regarding himself as a “martial artist first, a bodybuilder second.”

In 1994Flex Wheeler was implicated in a near-fatal car accident that could have left him with permanent paralysis.

In 1999, Flex Wheeler found he had Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, a kidney disease. Despite press consideration as to the cause of the failure, Wheeler looked out that the condition was genetic, not self-inflicted.
Flex announced his retirement from competitive bodybuilding in 2000 but stayed to compete until 2002. He experienced kidney transplantation in 2003. In 2005, Wheeler participated in a championship Arnold Classic.
