🏆 Damien Patrick is an American IFBB Pro who competes in Classic Physique — even though he started his career in Men’s Physique as an amateur. He is a three-time Mr. Olympia competitor (2023, 2024 and 2025) and a three-time pro show winner.
His story is one of patience. Damien earned his pro card in 2018, spent five years climbing the pro ranks, and only broke through with his first pro win in 2023 — then qualified for the Olympia three years in a row.
And he is not done yet. In 2026, at 39 years old, he is still winning: he took the Masters 40+ Classic Physique title at two different pro shows while placing 4th in both Open lineups. 💪

Early Life and Start in Fitness
Damien started training at just 15 years old. In his own words from an early-career interview, he fell in love with working out as a teenager and never really stopped.
At 17, he took a job as a sales associate at GNC. Within about a year he had been promoted to manager — an early sign of the work ethic that would define his career. 🛒
Bodybuilding was not his only discipline. Damien also earned a black belt in taekwondo, and that martial-arts background shows in the way he presents his physique on stage.
Like many athletes of his era, he began competing in Men’s Physique — the same division where stars such as Ali Bilal built their names. His first recorded NPC show was the 2014 Ferrigno Legacy.
The Switch to Classic Physique and the Pro Card
As his physique matured, Damien outgrew the Men’s Physique look. He made the same switch that Sadik Hadzovic famously made — moving into Classic Physique, where his structure and conditioning fit far better.
The switch paid off at the 2018 NPC USA Championships. Damien placed 2nd in Classic Physique Class C behind Bryan Jones and earned his IFBB Pro card as part of the class-winners’ pro card group. ✅
He wasted no time as a pro. Weeks later he debuted at the 2018 Tampa Pro and finished 4th — a strong first showing in a deep pro lineup.
Pro Career: The Long Climb (2018–2022)
Damien’s early pro years were a grind. He placed 5th at the 2019 New York Pro, but also took some hard lessons, including 16th-place finishes at the 2019 Tampa Pro and the 2020 Chicago Pro.
The turning point came in late 2021. At the Shawn Ray Hawaiian Classic he finished 2nd — his first pro podium — and he stayed consistent through 2022 with top-five finishes in San Diego and at the Atlantic Coast Pro.
He was close. What he still needed was a win. 🔥
Breakthrough: Two Wins and an Olympia Debut (2023)
Everything clicked in 2023. After a 2nd place at the Fitworld Pro and 3rd at the Charlotte Pro, Damien won the Mid USA Pro in June — his first pro victory, five years after turning pro.
In October he did it again, winning the Ultimate Warriors Pro. That second win confirmed his Olympia qualification, and in November 2023 he stepped on the Mr. Olympia stage for the first time, placing 16th in Classic Physique.
Three Straight Olympia Appearances (2023–2025)
Damien defended his status as an Olympian twice more. In October 2024 he won the Southern Muscle Showdown — his third pro title — and returned to the Olympia stage a week later, again placing 16th.
In 2025 he put together his busiest season yet: the Chicago Pro, a 3rd place at the Southern Muscle Showdown, his third straight Olympia (16th), and a 4th place at the Steve Karr Las Vegas Pro to close the year.
Three Olympias in three years is an achievement only a small group of Classic Physique pros can claim — especially in one of the deepest divisions in bodybuilding, alongside peers like Rickey Moten.
Damien Patrick in 2026: Still Winning
Many fans assumed Damien would slow down after missing the 2026 Olympia qualification. Instead, he had one of his most successful seasons ever — in the Masters ranks. 🏅
At the Gold’s Gym Classic Pro in August 2026, he won the Masters 40+ Classic Physique title and placed 4th in the Open. In October, at the Southern Muscle Showdown in Dalton, Georgia, he repeated the exact same result: Masters 40+ champion, 4th in the Open.
Damien turns 40 in November 2026. He has not announced any retirement, and on current form he remains a threat in every Masters lineup — and a dangerous spoiler in Open shows.

Note: NPC News Online’s athlete history also lists 2nd-place finishes for Damien at the 2025 Chicago Pro and 2025 Tampa Pro. Those results do not appear on the published Open scorecards — his Chicago Open placing was 15th — and appear to be Masters-class results, so they are not listed as Open placings above.
Training Style
Damien has never sold a magic formula. In his early-career interview he described training on a three-days-on, one-day-off rotation, and his approach has always centred on consistency, posing practice and classic bodybuilding fundamentals.
His taekwondo background also matters. Years of martial arts gave him the flexibility, balance and stage presence that Classic Physique judging rewards. 🥋
Honesty note: detailed day-by-day splits and meal plans attributed to Damien on some websites are not published by him. He has not released an official current training split or diet plan, so we do not present one here.
Diet and Nutrition Background
Few pros understand sports nutrition retail like Damien does — he was selling supplements at GNC as a teenager and managing the store by 18. That background shaped a practical, food-first approach to contest prep.
He has also built businesses around fitness: he is the founder of Total Alpha Clothing and the coach behind the Ripped 365 training program, and he works with clients as an online coach.
