🎫 Turning Pro in Taiwan (2022)
Audu’s pro journey began in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, in November 2022 — and it began in bodybuilding, not in the board shorts of Men’s Physique.
At the 2022 NPC Worldwide Taiwan Pro Qualifier, he won the Men’s Bodybuilding heavyweight class, ahead of Yu-Bin Chen and Stanislaw Turek.
He left Taiwan as an IFBB Pro, and he did not wait to use the card. That same weekend, on 26 November 2022, he made his pro debut at the IFBB Taiwan Pro.
The catch? The only men’s division on that pro stage was Men’s Physique. So a brand-new heavyweight pro pulled on board shorts and placed 10th in a field won by Ming Chieh Tsai. 🎫
🏛️ Finding His Home in Classic Physique (2023)
Classic Physique, with its height-and-weight caps and emphasis on shape, turned out to be the division his physique was built for.
At the 2023 District of Taiwan Pro, held on 1–3 December 2023, Audu took 3rd in Classic Physique — a genuine pro podium finish.
The two men ahead of him were winner Jaehun Park of South Korea and France’s Florian Poirson. Right behind Audu in 4th was Seonghun Park, who would win his own Olympia qualifier a year later.
It was the result that quietly announced Audu as a Classic Physique contender rather than a division tourist.
🏆 The Korea Breakthrough: AGP Champion (2024)
Before Korea, Audu tested the 212 division at home, placing 13th in a deep 212 field at the Toronto Pro Supershow on 9 June 2024. Our own 2024 Toronto Pro results report recorded that finish at the time.
Then came the biggest day of his career. On Sunday 29 September 2024, at the AGP Pro All Stars in South Korea, Audu won the Classic Physique title outright. 🥇
He beat Jongmin Lee into second and Byambabar Amarbat into third — and because the show fell after the 2024 Olympia qualifying deadline, the win punched his ticket to the 2025 Mr. Olympia.
A heavyweight’s pro card, a physique athlete’s debut, a classic title and an Olympia stage: no other route to Las Vegas in that field looked anything like his.
🌟 The Olympia Year (2025)
Success brought invitations. Audu was named on the invite-only roster for the 2025 Arnold Classic in Columbus, Ohio — one of the clearest signs of how far his stock had risen.
He does not appear in that show’s official results, which recorded nine finishers, so no Arnold placing forms part of his record. What came next mattered far more.
In October 2025, Audu walked onto the biggest stage in bodybuilding: the Classic Physique Olympia in Las Vegas, as competitor number 5 in a 59-man lineup.
He was called out in the sixth group during prejudging and finished tied for 16th on the official scorecard, in the division won by Ramon Rocha Queiroz. 🌟
An Olympia debut is a career landmark by any measure — and his came via a win on another continent, in his third division, three years after turning pro.
🔄 2026 Status: Active — and Chasing the 212
Is Franklyn Audu still competing? Yes — 2026 has been his busiest season yet, and it has all been in the 212 division.
On 14 June 2026 he returned to his home stage, the Toronto Pro Supershow, and placed 8th in Men’s 212 Bodybuilding, in a class won by Vitor Alves Porto De Oliveira.
Five weeks later, on 19 July 2026, he was back in Kaohsiung for the Taiwan Pro Show — the city where his pro career began — and placed 8th in the 212 class again, behind winner Cameron George.
Two pro shows, two top-eight finishes, five weeks apart: Audu is an active competitor in 2026. He has made no retirement announcement, and no future show entries have been officially announced at the time of writing. 🔄
