🏆 From Amateur Stages to an IFBB Pro Card
Vecchiato’s recorded career starts in 2017, when he placed 13th in Men’s Physique at the Amateur Olympia San Marino. A year later he won the 2018 Venice Cup Pro Qualifier.
In 2019 he finished 2nd at the Kai Greene Pro Qualifier. Then, in December 2020, he won his classes at the NPC Worldwide San Marino Pro Qualifier, taking both Novice Class B and Class E. 💪
The breakthrough came in Alicante, Spain, in August 2021. At the NPC Worldwide European Championships, Vecchiato won Class D and then the Men’s Physique overall title — the result NPC’s official records credit with earning his IFBB Pro Card.
That same Alicante festival is where fellow Italian pro Andrea Mammoli was making his own name in Classic Physique — a big weekend for Italian bodybuilding.
🔥 Pro Debut and a First Olympia (2021)
Vecchiato wasted no time as a pro. At the 2021 Europa Pro Championships in Alicante, he finished 2nd in Men’s Physique behind Youcef Djoudi — a runner-up finish in his very first pro season.
That October he made his Mr. Olympia debut in Orlando, tying for 16th place. One week later he was back on stage at the Yamamoto Cup Pro in Italy, placing 7th.
He closed his rookie pro year with another 7th place, this time at the Romania Muscle Fest Pro in November 2021.
💪 2022: Five European Pro Shows
Vecchiato stayed busy in 2022, competing five times across Europe. He placed 11th at the Sheru Classic Italian Pro in Rome, in front of a home crowd.
His best results that year were a pair of 5th-place finishes — at the Empro Pro in Spain and the 1 Bro Pro. He also took 6th at the Mr Big Evolution Pro in Portugal.
He finished the season 16th at the Yamamoto Cup Pro in Padua in September 2022. Consistent top-five and top-ten finishes — but no win, and no Olympia qualification that year.
🏆 The Quiet Years and the 2025 Comeback
Then came silence. NPC’s official database records no contests for Vecchiato in 2023 or 2024 — a full break from the pro stage.
Everything changed on August 23, 2025, in Torremolinos, Spain. Vecchiato won the Men’s Physique title at the Etenon Spain Pro, beating Italy’s Andrea Mosti and the UK’s Dwayne Latinwo. BarBend described it as a return after a three-year hiatus. 🎉
The win earned him his second Olympia qualification. At the 2025 Mr. Olympia in Las Vegas, he tied for 16th — matching his 2021 result — in a field won by Ryan Terry, alongside fellow Italian Men’s Physique pro Riccardo Croci and Brazil’s Guilherme Gualberto.
He was not done. Two weeks after the Olympia he placed 9th at the EVLS Prague Pro, and in November 2025 he took 10th at the Spanish Grand Prix Pro — four pro shows in a single comeback season.

🔥 Final Thoughts
Leonardo Vecchiato’s career is a lesson in patience: class wins as an amateur, a pro card in 2021, two solid pro seasons, three years of silence — and then a pro win and an Olympia return in 2025.
He is not the loudest name in Men’s Physique. But an athlete who can disappear for three years and come back to win a pro show has already proved the hardest point of all: he belongs on that stage. 💪
