🏆 Who Is Jefferson Lima?
Jefferson Lima competes in Men’s Physique, the division judged on an athletic upper body, a tight waist and polished stage presentation.
He is based in Ceará, in Brazil’s northeast — the same state that hosts the Fortaleza pro shows where he has scored his biggest results.
A quick note for readers: he is not Vinicius Mateus Viera Lima, the Brazilian Men’s Physique pro who won the 2023 Bahia Pro and the 2025 Musclecontest Experience Pro. The two are different athletes with separate records. 💡
📈 2023: Straight Into the Pro Ranks
Lima’s earliest verified professional results came in 2023, when he stepped onto IFBB Pro League stages in South America.
On May 21, 2023, he placed seventh at the Sur Pro Cup in Santiago, Chile, in a twelve-man field won by Emmanuel Costa. Fellow Brazilian Lucas Viudes finished third that day.
Two weeks later, on June 3, 2023, he placed 14th at the Musclecontest Bahia Pro in an all-Brazilian lineup — useful experience against the country’s deep Men’s Physique field.
🥇 2024: The Fortaleza Breakthrough
Everything came together on October 5, 2024, at the Musclecontest Fortaleza Pro in Meireles, Fortaleza.
Lima won the Men’s Physique title with a perfect three-point score in front of his home-state crowd, ahead of Lucas Lage in second and William Aguiar Amorim in third.
The victory was the first pro win of his career — and it booked his ticket to the 2025 Mr. Olympia on home soil. 🏆
🌎 2025: The Olympia Debut
In October 2025, Lima made his Mr. Olympia debut in Las Vegas, wearing competitor number 45 in one of the largest Men’s Physique fields in the show’s history.
He finished tied for 16th place on the official scorecard — the standard result for athletes outside the top 15 in the division’s huge lineups.
Simply reaching that stage put him in rare company: very few athletes from Brazil’s northeast have stood on the Olympia stage. 💪

The show was won by Guilherme Gualberto, with Rafael Oliveira in second — a strong home-state field.
