🏆 Who Is Jinbo Li?
Jinbo Li competes in Men’s Physique, the division judged on an athletic upper body, a tight waist and polished stage presentation.
He has become a standard-bearer for Chinese bodybuilding, winning pro shows across Asia before taking his winning streak to the United States as well.
A note on his personal stats: no official contest source publishes his date of birth, height or weight, so they are listed here as “Not published” rather than guessed. 💡
🥇 2022: A First Pro Title in Tokyo
Li’s breakthrough came on November 13, 2022, at the Japan Pro in Tokyo, where he won the Men’s Physique title ahead of Renyi Xie and Farouq Ishimoto.
The victory earned him a ticket to the 2022 Mr. Olympia — but he did not make the trip to Las Vegas that year, and no reason was published.
His first pro title was in the books, though, and it would not be his last. 🏆
📈 2023: Testing Himself in Europe
In 2023, Li travelled to Portugal for the Mr. Big Evolution Pro and placed fourth in a strong Men’s Physique lineup won by Sidy Pouye.
It was a useful measuring stick against Europe’s best — and the season set up the biggest year of his career so far.
🔥 2024: Two Wins and an Olympia Debut
Li opened 2024 on April 27 at the AGP Pro in Gyeonggi, South Korea, finishing second to Yoon Sung Lee in a seven-man lineup.
Two weeks later, on May 12, 2024, he won the Kim Junho Korea Pro in Seoul with a perfect score, beating fellow Chinese pro Mengyi Liu. It was the second pro win of his career.
That win qualified him for the 2024 Mr. Olympia — and this time he went. In Las Vegas he made his Olympia debut, finishing tied for 16th in a huge field won by Ryan Terry.
He was not finished. Later in October 2024 he won the Legion Pro in Reno, Nevada, beating Rhyan Clark and Mehdi Kabbadj — his first pro title on American soil. 💪
⏸️ 2025: Qualified, But Did Not Compete
The Legion Pro win fell inside the 2025 Olympia qualifying season, so Li’s name appeared on the official list of qualified athletes for the 2025 Mr. Olympia.
But when the official scorecard was published, his name was not on it — he qualified for the 2025 Olympia yet did not compete, and no reason was made public.
No other verified pro appearances are recorded for him in 2025. It was a quiet year — and, as 2026 proved, only a pause.
✅ Jinbo Li in 2026: Two Wins and an Olympia Return
Li came back in style. On February 28, 2026, he won the Musclecontest Japan Pro in Tokyo, beating Benquil Marigny and Feilikesi Famuwagun — a second Japan Pro crown, four years after his first.
In April 2026 he added the Huanji China Pro title in Shanghai, winning with a perfect score of three points, with Famuwagun second once again.
Those wins carried him back to Las Vegas, where he placed tied 16th at the 2026 Mr. Olympia — his second Olympia appearance, on a stage where fellow Chinese pro Juxian He also competed and Ryan Terry won his fourth straight title.
Five pro wins, two Olympia appearances and an active 2026 season: Jinbo Li remains one of Asia’s most accomplished Men’s Physique pros. 🔥
