No hype machine follows him. What follows him is a scorecard: 19 pro shows since 2023, three titles, and a 2026 season that was still going in mid-October.
This is his updated biography, rebuilt for 2026 from official contest records — with the errors in the old version corrected.

🏆 Who Is Zhivko Petkov?
Petkov is a Classic Physique professional from Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. His physique is built on the division’s classic values: a wide-shouldered V-taper, a small waist, full muscle bellies and polished posing.
Long before the IFBB Pro League, he was a champion in the old IFBB amateur system — Bulgarian, Balkan and European titles in classic bodybuilding and the under-90 kg class, per his sponsor Everbuild Nutrition’s biography.
He also worked as a personal trainer in Bulgaria while building that amateur career. The pro stage came late, but it came properly. 💪
🎟️ 2022: The Double Win That Turned Him Pro
Petkov’s NPC Worldwide record opens with a remarkable November 2022. On 14 November, at the Romania Muscle Fest, he won both the Classic Physique and the Men’s Bodybuilding classes.
Twelve days later, at the Bigman Weekend in Spain, he did it again — first in Classic Physique, first in Men’s Bodybuilding. Two shows, two divisions, four class wins.
That run earned him his IFBB Pro card, and he has competed exclusively in Classic Physique ever since.
📈 2023–2024: A Quiet Debut, Then a Perfect Score in Ireland
His pro debut came at the 2023 Sheru Classic UK Pro, where he placed 10th. Two months later he nearly won in front of a home crowd, finishing 2nd at the Balkan Grand Prix Pro in Sofia behind Hasan Alibrahim.
His second season opened with another 10th — at the 2024 Empro Pro in Spain.
Then, on 30 June 2024, everything clicked. At the Musclecontest Ireland Pro in Limerick, Petkov won the Classic Physique title — his first pro win — in a contest decided on prejudging alone, which he won with a perfect score. 🏆
The win qualified him for the 2024 Mr. Olympia. He warmed up with 5th at the Euro Muscle Show Pro, then placed 16th on his Olympia debut in Las Vegas.
🔁 2025: The Nearly Man
If 2024 was the breakthrough, 2025 was the grind. Petkov contested six pro shows and finished in the top five at five of them — without winning one.
He placed 7th in France, returned to the Mr. Olympia (16th), then took 3rd at the FitParade in Hungary, 5th at the EVLS Prague Pro, and three straight 4th places to close the year in Spain and Austria.
It was the record of a man permanently one callout away. In 2026, he finally closed the gap.
🔥 2026: Two Wins, a Third Olympia — and Still Going
Petkov opened his 2026 account on 1 August at the 1 Bro Pro Show in Essex, England, winning Classic Physique with another perfect score — three points, the lowest possible.
Three weeks later he won again, taking the Austrian Oak Pro on 22 August. Two titles in a month, and a direct ticket back to Las Vegas.
At the 2026 Mr. Olympia on 26 September he placed in the tied-16th group in a 47-man field — a field that also included Korea’s Jaehun Park (14th) and Germany’s fast-rising Luca Reger (11th).
Most Olympians end their season there. Petkov flew home and kept going: 4th at the Europa Pro Championships, 7th at the EVLS Prague Pro — where Hungary’s Richard Nagy finished two places behind him — and 5th at the FitParade Pro in Budapest on 17 October 2026.
As of late October 2026 he is an active competitor in mid-season form, not a retired one. There has been no retirement announcement — only scorecards. ✅
🏋️ Training and Diet: An Honest Note
Earlier versions of this biography published a detailed six-day training split, exact calorie counts, a macronutrient breakdown, a meal-by-meal diet plan, a supplement list and motivational quotes attributed to Petkov.
None of that material could be traced to Petkov himself or to any credible interview, so it has been removed. He has not published an official training split or diet plan in English-language media.
What is documented is his background: years of personal-training work in Bulgaria, and a physique built on classic principles — proportion, conditioning and posing polish. If he publishes his own methods, this page will be updated with them, sourced.
