Naotaka Yokokawa walked onto the Mr. Olympia stage for the first time in 2026 โ and walked off with seventh place in the 212 division. ๐
He earned that debut by winning the Japan Pro on 2 August 2026 in Chiba, in his professional debut, with a perfect score. That win put a Japanese 212 bodybuilder on the Olympia stage in front of a worldwide audience.
One spelling note first: the competition scorecards spell his name Yokokawa, while some profiles โ including Generation Iron’s โ spell it Yokogawa. This article uses Yokokawa, the spelling on the official scorecards.
There is no full day of eating from Yokokawa in 2025 or 2026 anywhere we could read. What follows is what he has actually said about his food โ a 2020 magazine interview and his own 2019 posts โ plus his coach, his sponsor and his road to the Olympia. Nothing here is invented.
Yokokawa was born on 10 July 1994. He won the 2019 Japan Bodybuilding Championship, then earned his IFBB Pro card by winning the 2025 NPC Worldwide Olympia Amateur Japan. His coach for the 2026 Olympia was Hideyama Yamagishi.
Naotaka Yokokawa Diet Plan
Yokokawa’s diet, in his own words from a 2020 Tarzan magazine interview, is strikingly simple. He said the menu is the same every day. ๐
Breakfast is eggs and rice. Lunch, eaten before training, is beef and rice. Dinner is chicken breast and rice. Three times a day, between meals, he takes protein and rice as a snack.
That is the whole menu as he described it. No calorie total and no macro split were published with it, so none is printed here. When he eats out, he said, he sometimes has gyudon โ beef and rice in a bowl. ๐ฅฉ
His 2019 posts add the numbers. He put his protein at 240 grams a day โ 120 grams from meat across three meals, and 120 grams from protein shakes taken three times a day. One meal he named was 200 grams of chicken with 200 grams of rice.
Two details from those posts are worth keeping. He does not eat chicken tenderloin, even while cutting. And his off-season foods are ordinary Japanese comfort food โ cup yakisoba, ice candy, plum wine and ramen with rice.
Naotaka Yokokawa Meal Plan
No full day of eating from Yokokawa in 2025 or 2026 has been published anywhere we could read. There is no 2026 meal list, no calorie total and no macro split to print โ and this article will not invent one.
The closest thing to a complete menu is the one he gave Tarzan in 2020. He said it was the same every day, and it is short enough to print in full. It is a 2020 menu, not a 2026 plan, and it is printed here as he described it.
Meals
- Breakfast: eggs and rice.
- Lunch, before training: beef and rice.
- Dinner: chicken breast and rice.
- Snacks, three times a day: protein and rice.
No quantities were published with that menu. The only quantities he has ever named are from 2019: 200 grams of chicken with 200 grams of rice in one meal, and 240 grams of protein a day. Those are 2019 figures, not 2026 ones.
For a cut, his 2019 posts name bitterling fish, roast beef, protein, chicken thigh and a minimum of white rice. For the off-season, they name cup yakisoba, ice candy, plum wine, and ramen with rice.
Naotaka Yokokawa Supplements
No supplement list from Yokokawa has ever been published. No brand, no product and no dose appears in any interview, video or post we could read โ so none is printed here.
The only supplements his own words ever name are protein shakes. In 2019 he said 120 grams of his daily 240 grams of protein came from shakes taken three times a day. In 2020 he said he took protein and rice three times a day as a snack.
His sponsor, ALLOUT, is a training-gear and apparel brand โ not a supplement company. That matters: a sponsor logo on his shirt is not a supplement recommendation, and this article does not treat it as one.
If a supplement list from Yokokawa exists, it is not in anything we were able to read. The shakes above are the whole of it.
Naotaka Yokokawa Workout Routine
No full training split from Yokokawa has ever been published. There is no 2025 or 2026 routine to print, and this section says what his own words do give us โ all of it from 2020.
In the 2020 Tarzan interview he described training built on forced reps with his trainer, Takei. He did about five sets per exercise, eight exercises per session, for around two hours โ one body part per day. ๐๏ธ
His background is in martial arts โ karate, boxing and kickboxing โ before bodybuilding. As a young lifter, he said he wanted the body of Yujiro Hanma, the manga character. ๐ฅ
That is all his training record amounts to in print. His coach for the 2026 Olympia, Hideyama Yamagishi, has not published a Yokokawa training split either.
Naotaka Yokokawa Diet Plan in 2026

Yokokawa’s 2026 season was short and steep. He turned professional by winning the Japan Pro on 2 August 2026 in Chiba, with a perfect score of 3 and the number 10 on his trunks. Less than eight weeks later he was on the Olympia stage. ๐ฏ๐ต
At the Olympia in Las Vegas, on 25โ26 September 2026, he finished seventh in the 212 division with a score of 35. Keone Pearson won the division. ๐
Before the show he posted on X: “My muscles alone will shake the world. I will carry everything and give everything. I will make this my Olympia.” After it, on his coach’s channel on 30 September 2026, he said: “Next year, I will absolutely get my revenge.”
His coach, Hideyama Yamagishi, had predicted a top-three finish the day before the Olympia. Yamagishi is a former 212 Olympian himself โ the best Japanese 212 placing ever at third โ and the 2023 Masters Olympia 212 winner.
Seventh was not the top-three finish his coach predicted, but it was a debut at the sport’s biggest show โ and his first words after it were about next year.
He did not earn prize money: only the top five in the division were paid. His sponsor ALLOUT, which signed him to a premium partnership from 1 October 2025, makes training gear and apparel. No 2026 meal plan, supplement list or training split has been published.
